Due to COVID, most of the Outer Banks usual fireworks displays and local 4th of July events have been canceled.

Corolla will hold their fireworks display at Historic Corolla Park, as scheduled, on Friday, July 3, 2020. Further details have yet to be announced, including what safety regulations will be in place for the event.

….But there’s still plenty you can do on the 4th to celebrate on the beach with friends and family.

Here’s 4 the Love’s TOP 10 IDEAS for an epic beach holiday:

1 Start your day with a 4th of July inspired coffee!

Here’s a few fun ideas we found:

Rocket Pop – A layer of blueberry frappe, then a layer of vanilla bean, then a layer of strawberries and cream. For the kids. Of all ages. Add a wooden coffee stirrer for extra Pinterest.

  • LiberTea – English breakfast tea, and on principle, go ahead and pour the first cup into the ocean!

  • Frosted Fireworks – Straight espresso on ice, topped with a light layer of red and blue Pop Rocks.

  • Teddy Brewsevelt- Drink your coffee the way he would have wanted: strong, and in large amounts. Pour yourself a tall glass of iced coffee, and conquer the day!

2 Fireworks from a Distance

Here’s a quick list of a few of the best fireworks televised:

  • The Macy's 4th of July fireworks will be televised on NBC so that people outside the city can can also see the fireworks. Usually it airs from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET.

  • A Capitol Fourth on July 4, 2020. It's a patriotic, star-studded concert event that also features the fireworks that go off above the National Mall in Washington D.C.

  • Bloomberg to broadcast A Boston Pops Salute to Our Heroes on Bloomberg Television (available on cable/satellite and streaming services) and Bloomberg Radio on July 4, starting at 8 PM. The show will also be simulcast on Boston’s WHDH-TV.

  • Let Freedom Sing- 10/9c on CMT   Brett Eldredge is headlining the show this year, airing live from Nashville's Broadway Stage on 5th and Broadway. Jessy Wilson, Mac McAnally and Dylan Scott will go before Eldredge, and after the performances, you can catch another round of televised fireworks with "Let Freedom Sing Fireworks" airing at 11/10c.
